Terms & Conditions

Expedition departures are subject to weather conditions.

Please be aware that our expedition is in a remote part of the world and guests should not assume that the organizer has any control over the wildlife  behaviour and weather conditions. Our crew will make every effort to ensure the best possible itinerary in the region and encounters with the wildlife.

Cancellation Period

A deposit for any expedition is made upon booking to secure your place on the expedition, this is non-refundable.

Cancellation of a booking or part thereof will incur the following fees based on the notice period prior to any expedition. Once travel has commenced, no refunds will be made for any unused services and clients will be responsible for their travel arrangements and insurance.

If a cancellation is made less than 1 months (30 Days) prior to the tour date, we will not reimburse the cost of the tour.

If a cancellation is made up to 3 months (90 Days) prior to the tour date, we will reimburse the cost of the tour up to 10% minus the deposit which is non refundable upon booking the tour and any admin fees incurred.

If a cancellation is made up to 6 months (180 Days) prior to the tour date we will reimburse the cost of the tour up to 20% minus the deposit which is non refundable upon booking the tour and any admin fees incurred.

If a cancellation is made within 9 -12 months (360 Days) prior to the tour date we will reimburse the cost of the tour up to 40% minus the deposit which is non refundable upon booking the tour and any admin fees incurred.

Cancellations made by the organizer to a tour will be reimbursed in full. Minus any administration fees. It is strongly recommended that all participants have comprehensive travel insurance to cover delays and changes in travel arrangements and in some cases evacuation insurance where specified.

The organizer will not take financial responsibility for flights and other travel arrangements that may be affected by changes or cancellations to the original itinerary.

Cancellation during the expedition

If for any reason weather or operational cancellation of a segment of the tour occurs, there is no refund provided if the circumstances are out of the control of the organizer. The organizer will attempt to make alternate arrangements to assist with accommodation and onward travel arrangements.

Itinerary Disclaimer

The itineraries on our websites are correct at time of publishing and may differ slightly depending on changes to local operations, foreign policy and laws, availability of resources, flight schedules and weather considerations. In the case of any changes, the organizer will endeavour to provide an alternative option to continue your itinerary or vary the itinerary accordingly.

Insurance Policy

Travel insurance is NOT included in the cost of your tour. The organizer strongly recommends that passengers arrange their own travel insurance. Insurance is required before arriving at your destination to ensure you are covered for unforeseen situations that may arise to cause loss of luggage, cancellation of flights or medical emergencies.

The organizer and its affiliates are not responsible for loss or damage of any equipment whilst participating in these activities. Appropriate travel insurance should be arranged prior to visiting your destination.

Release Forms/Waivers

While the organizer makes every effort to safeguard our clients, we cannot be held responsible for personal injury or loss due to events beyond our control. The organizer carries inherent risk as you are interacting with wild animals in remote environments and a signed release form is required from all participants before expedition departure. This is signed on the first day of departure or prior to arriving at your destination. Guests are encourage to download this liability waiver and return back to the organizer prior to your tour.

COVID-19 Policy

For bookings made before 1 July 2022, if the situation with Covid-19 prevents you from joining your tour in 2022 we’ll offer the following options to ensure you feel comfortable and secure with your travel plans and bookings this year:

  • Ability for you to rebook for our 2023/24 Tonga season (Pricing changes may apply)
  • Swap your booking to another one of our tours—anywhere in the world (We will apply your current deposit to the balance)
  • Refund your payments (minus admin fees) *** Note: All deposits are non-refundable***

Please note: Refunds may take 3-4 months while our suppliers work through re-opening their operations.
